Blue Re:Think was born out of our love for the ocean and the feeling of knowing that this is our place. When we enter the underwater world, we find the formula to connect with our emotions, quiet the mind, leave our worries above, and enjoy the present moment. We want you to feel the same way. Through our regenerative tourism experiences, we want to focus our energy on protecting, conserving, and recovering the marine coastal ecosystem, which allows us to keep breathing.

We focus on empowering travelers so they become agents of change and active guardians of the marine coastal ecosystem. Through an enriching and transformative journey, we want to gift you the feeling of connection with nature and remind you that we are one.
The goal of our Happy Trip is to promote a special connection with nature, grow comprehension of marine and marine-related ecosystems, experience the magic of corals, and commit to conserving and protecting the beauty of coral reefs.

A place where time stops, and magic begins.
We chose the Cozumel Biosphere Reserve since it is part of the second-largest reef system in the world: the Mesoamerican Reef, due to its diverse marine and extension.
We dive among the larger reefs located in the marine reserve. These formations that are millions of years old can tell the story of evolution, serve as inspiration, and as a sanctuary for marine life.

Conservation
Over the course of two days, we will have a series of talks about coral conservation. You will learn what a coral is, its composition, its functions in the ecosystem, the main threats, and how to recover them.
We will dive in the MesoamericanReef (MAR) and in the nurseries where coral restoration takes place, identifying the species and witnessing their importance in the marine ecosystem.
At the end of the trip, as a coral guardian, you will have learned and been part of this ecosystem. You will also have supported organizations dedicated to the conservation and restoration of coral reefs with which we have alliances.
The Mesoamerican Reef is the second largest reef system in the world
Coral reefs are in danger. The significant CO2 emissions that reach the atmosphere cause ocean acidification, global warming, and a rise in sea temperatures. The ocean’s plastic pollution also causes corals collapse.
Even though coral reefs cover less than 1% of the Planet’s surface, they are home to 25% of all marine species. Thanks to their symbiotic relationship with the Zooxanthela microalgae, they are the main source of oxygen for the Planet. They create diverse and productive habitats that provide environmental and social key ecosystemical factors, which include: food, shelter, livelihoods support, medicines and cultural values that benefit billions of people around the world.

In Blue Re:Think we are committed to compensating the carbon footprint of our trips by planting mangroves and sea grasses.
Mangroves and sea grass are fundamental in the marine coastal ecosystem. They are rich in biodiversity, have huge carbon dioxide storage capacity, and are a source of organic and inorganic matter that supports the food chain. Along with coral reefs, they serve as the first line of defense to protect coastal communities from waves, sea level rise, hurricaines and tropical storms.
By helping to protect them, we close the circle of regeneration and have a true positive impact.

The Ocean drives the global systems that make the Earth a habitable place for humans. As divers we have the privilege of interacting with marine life, which comes with the responsibility of reducing the damage and protecting the marine ecosystem.
We work with organizations that are dedicated to the conservation and restoration of corals, and who are also commited to providing all possible resources to help in this important task.
We donate 1% of our net profits to non-profit organizations who share our mission to protect the marine ecosystem. We work with organizations dedicated to coral, seagrass and mangroves conservation and restoration; we are committed to providing all possible resources to help in this titanic task.
